Winter Sports in Full Swing as Girls’ and Boys’ B-Ball Start-Up

The Lady Wave Basketball Team began their regular season with a great week, going 2-1 with wins over Edna Karr and Salmen and losing a close game to an excellent Vandebilt Catholic team. On Monday against Edna Karr, the girls dominated on both sides all game, winning by blowout, 76-44.

And Then There Were Two

Only eleven weeks ago (thirteen in the case of Oak Forest), nine area football squads hit the field in search of state championships. Six teams made the postseason, and four survived until the past weekend. After Friday night, a pair moved on while a couple of others wrapped up the ’23 campaign.

Lions Hoops Update

It was from the SEC to the BIG XII, from the planes of Eastern Alabama to the Mountains of Provo, Utah, for the Southeastern Lion Basketball team. After a respectable showing at Auburn, SLU took to the sky to travel to square off against Brigham Young.
