Expansive wildfires sparked by gusty wind conditions burned in Livingston and St. Tammany Parishes on Sunday. The St. Tammany blaze resulted in the closure of I-12 between Hwy 59 (Abita) and Hwy 434 (Lacombe) due to dangerously low visibility.

First Christian Church will host its Annual Swing into Spring Fundraiser for Reimers Auditorium on Sunday, March 22, featuring Swing 101 Big Band in concert in Reimers Auditorium as well as a popular silent auction. Doors will open at 2:30, music begins at 3:00.
