Wednesday, November 29, 2023, was a dark day on the campus of Southeastern Louisiana University. Around midday, an SLU sophomore fell from an upper level of Thelma Ryan Hall and was pronounced deceased shortly thereafter.

City Hall Receives Genesis Award

Ponchatoula City Hall received the Genesis Award for their landscaping from the Gardenettes. The garden club, represented by Cricket Ayala, presented the plaque for November and December to Mayor Bob Zabbia on November 8.

Hammond, LA, November 25, 2023 – Hammond Regional Arts Center is excited to announce Art of the Cocktail 2024. This cosmic cocktail competition promises to assemble the best mixologists in Tangipahoa for an unforgettable evening of creativity, skill, and “spirited” competition.

Gardenettes met at North Oaks Medical Center to decorate the main hospital entrance and emergency room lobby. The garden club decorates two trees each holiday season and has participated in this annual event for many holidays.
