Monday, the Southeastern Louisiana University golfers returned to action south of the lake, taking part in the Gulf Coast Collegiate Classic hosted by the University of New Orleans. Coach Lawrence Allen’s club finished ninth in the two-day event with a +77, 317.

Lady Wave Basketball are moving on to the second round of the state playoffs as they dominated against #22 seeded Ben Franklin in the Hardwood Swamp on Thursday night by a final score of 60-11. The girls jumped out to a 42-8 halftime lead and never looked back.

Another busy week began on Monday for Southeastern Athletics starting with golf team teeing off for the first time in 2026, taking part in the Bentwater Intercollegiate Tournament, a 2-day event hosted by former Southland rival Sam Houston in Huntsville, TX.

Green Wave boys’ basketball lost both their games last week to Mandeville and Prairieville.Thursday vs Mandeville It was all Mandeville from the start as the Skippers cruised to a 73-31 win on Ponchatoula’s home court.

On Monday night, the Lamar Cardinals used a 17-0 run to break open a onepoint game to knock off the Southeastern Lions in Southland Conference men’s basketball action in Beaumont, TX.

Green Wave Basketball lost both of their games last week playing a hard-fought game against Walker on Tuesday and losing at Covington on Friday.Tuesday vs Walker- It was not an ideal start for the Wave, as they started the game down 13-0 and losing 19-7 at the end of the first.

This week’s Campus Corner sees some schedule changes, two of them because of Old Man Winter. Saturday was supposed to see the Southeastern baseball team host Fan Fest, but since the weather refuses to cooperate, it has been moved back a week.
