The Champ Cooper vs. Loranger District Semifinal game was held Thursday, February 8, in Loranger. The Champ Cooper Lady Cougars defeated the Loranger Wolves with a score of 34-21 and now advance to the final District contest.

On Saturday, the Southeastern Lions used a 23-9 lead at the half to claim a 69-59 win over the Northwestern State Demons in Natchitoches. The win gave SLU one of the rare sweeps over NSU in basketball and was the fourth in a row for head coach, David Keiffer.
