SLU Diamond Girls Refuse Runs in Mardi Gras Mambo Sweep

It was a whirlwind start for Southeastern softball, with the team claiming 5/5 wins at the Mardi Gras Mambo over the weekend. Rick Fremin’s squad plated a remarkable 31 crossings during the event while not giving up a single run.

A pair of double-doubles was not enough to help the Southeastern Lion Cagers win their second straight, as David Kieffer’s troops dropped a 74-64 decision at Lamar on Saturday. The first half was a stalemate; the teams went to the locker room tied at 34.

Tulane Falls Short Against Charlotte

On Saturday afternoon, the Tulane Green Wave men’s basketball team lost to the Charlotte 49ers 7571 at home.Tulane trailed Charlotte 40-31 at halftime. The free throw line proved to be a difference in the game as Charlotte shot 23 of 28 from the line compared to Tulane’s 9 of 14.
