ADA LEE DAVIDSON

Ada Lee Davidson, 72, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family. She made quilts for over 37 years for individuals, charities, and Dixie trail rides; she even has one displayed in the Smithsonian Museum in memory of 9/11.

CHESTER “CHET” DAVID KOLWE

Chester “Chet” David Kolwe, 69, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. He resided in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, and graduated from Ponchatoula High School in 1972.

DENNIS KENT BROWN

Dennis, 84, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023. He was a resident of Amite, LA. Dennis had a Ph.D. in Botany and retired from Southeastern Louisiana University after 28 years as a Professor of Biological Sciences. He enjoyed being in nature and planted trees on his 50 acres.

SHIRLEY DURHAM O’QUIN

Shirley Durham O’Quin of Osyka, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on November 19 after a brief illness. She was 90. Shirley was born in Durant, Mississippi, on July 30, 1933, to William Edward and Mary Ellen Durham.

MARY ELLEN KNIGHT

An Amite, LA resident passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 85. She was born March 19, 1938, in Kentwood, LA.

MARY LOU VARNADO BLANCHARD

A resident of Amite, LA, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023, at Hood Memorial Hospital in Amite, LA. She was born on July 14, 1953, in Magnolia, MS, and was 70. She was a 1972 graduate of Hammond Votech for nursing and was a nurse at Hood Memorial Hospital from 1972 until 2019.

GEORGE ANTHONY NAVARRE

George Navarre, 65, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, with his loving wife by his side. He attended LA Tech and graduated from LSU with a bachelor’s degree in construction. George has been a dedicated employee at Spartan Building Corporation as a Project Estimator since 1986.

BOBBY FOSTER HILL SR.

Bob, 81, passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was a resident of Ponchatoula, LA. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was an extremely hard worker and took great pride in providing for his family.

Francis, 80, a native of Grand Caillou, LA, and a resident of Ponchatoula, LA, slipped peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 23, 2023.
